Keeley Harris (AKA Vintage Keeley) is a Vintage Dealer, Writer and Expert specialising in vintage fashion, midcentury styling and vintage collectables. She is mega enthusiastic anything Vintage. Having a fascination of “old stuff” from a young age, collecting up pieces from Jumbles Sales & Junk Yards from the age of 10. She has been a dealer on and off since her teens, selling at Antiques Fairs with her dad.
She gave up her uninspiring day job when she hit her thirties, desperate to release the entrepreneurial spirit within and do something for herself. Deciding to do the kind of work she loved, she immersed herself fully in the world of vintage by trading in Vintage Fashion & Homewares a several retail outlets and fairs across the UK
Keeley also runs a very successful vintage events business called Discover Vintage. She curates specialist vintage events such as The Vintage Home Show & Festival of Vintage. These events are very well respected and have attracted thousands of vintage collectors and enthusiasts from across the UK & Europe since 2009.
Keeley writes occasionally for vintage magazines and has contributed to articles in Homes & Antiques Magazine, Vintagexplorer, Vintage Life Magazine and most recently V&OAK Magazine and Introspective Magazine as well as offering expert advice for newspapers, radio and tv about vintage fashion & interiors.
She was chosen to be one of the panel of judges for “Best Vintage Shops” which was featured in Homes & Antiques magazine alongside Wayne Hemingway & TV expert Mark Hill. She has also appeared on BBC1 TV programme “Put your Money Where Your mouth is” as a vintage dealer and is soon to star in ‘French Collection’ as a contestant. She is just completed her first book about Vintage Homes decade by decade and features real peoples home, which is due to be release March 2015 titled ‘Style Me Vintage Home’
Keeley was awarded Runner Up in the Antiques Young Guns of the Trade Awards in 2013 with judges agreeing that “Keeley’s achievements and hard work together with her ability to include and work with her peers has really put her on the map and we felt that her success will be an encouragement for other young dealers in the vintage trade”
In 2013, inspired by the idea of encouraging others to start a vintage business, Keeley partnered up with fellow Vintage dealer, writer and business owner Kate Beavis to launch Vintage Academy– a business club and seminars to give others an insight into running a successful vintage business.
On top of all this Keeley is a Mum to daughter Bethany who is 16 and loving partner to her ROCK, Steve and Human mum to Bernard the Dog. In her spare time she is an avid collector of 1950’s Handbags & Vintage Plastic Jewellery, wearer of bright 50’s & 60’s dresses & Converse trainers (with over 30 pairs) and a fan of wine!
